Review of Snow Cake (2006) by Alexander K — 17 Jan 2016
Sigourney Weaver hits the right marks in this charming indie. I've read the critique that there are no surprises, and - if you read the synopsis on IMdB, there aren't. But if you come to it cold there are several moments that shock and surprise.
The best part of the film, however, is the humanity, the warmth, and the love and kindness inherent in the story.
