I loved AR in snow cake. for me this is his defining role, this is how I see him when I watch him in other roles. portraying alex in snow cake must be amongst his best works.
The film starts with him giving a teenager a ride. they have an accident, through no fault of his, the girl gets killed. alex looks up the girl's mother's address and tells her the bad news. the girl's mother is autistic and kind of understands but doesnt react like a "normal" mother would. alex stays there (i forget why, probably to come to terms with his feelings of guilt). the film is about the "friendship" between him and the mother. fantastic film.
