Review of Snow Cake (2006) by Michaela D — 01 Feb 2009
An incredible film with breath-taking performances, especially considering the subject matter. Rickman is amazing in his role as both a grieving father and a witness in a death, both very traumatic experiences, and remarkably pulls it off, despite his precedence for playing the lovable rouge.
Weaver is incredible in her portrayal as a highly-functioning autistic, and both her and Rickman successfully show the bond that can develop despite difficulties. 5 stars without a shadow of a doubt!
