Review of Snatched (2017) by Compi24 — 13 May 2017
Director Jonathan Levine returns to the world of scripted comedy with "Snatched," a well-intentioned mother/daughter vehicle that will often bring the laughs, but only in spite of the mother and daughter characters.
Yes, it's the likes of supporting cast members Ike Barinholtz, Bashir Salahuddin, Christopher Meloni, Wanda Sykes, and Joan Cusack that make this crime comedy at least worth sitting through. That isn't necessarily to say that leads Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn do a particularly bad job with their respective characters.
But the limited chemistry and flat joke deliveries ultimately can't move the needle enough for me in the end.
