Review of Smokin' Aces (2006) by Sam B — 09 Oct 2010

Smoking aces plot about 6 different assissins of all different shapes, sizes and techniques all contracted to kill the one man. Isreal. But instead, they all end up killing each other. It's has loads of action and some decent acting and humourous at times but has lots of faults that hold the movie back.

First the most interesting characters are given a back seat whereas some of the most annoying members of the cast are given and unnecessarily long amount of screen time. The movie has quiet a few Tarantino-isms like an ensemble cast of eccentric characters and a convoluted plot but it falls short.

But otherwises it a decent movie you could watch when your bored.
