Review of Smoke Signals (1998) by Magill F — 13 Mar 2010
I can't say that I was ever truly drawn into the central father/son drama of Smoke Signals, but this still was an entertaining, warm, funny movie. It's also pretty unique - not in terms of plot, but while watching I realized that I've never before seen a movie about Native Americans made by Native Americans.
I can't say that I was blown away, and a couple moments are pretty corny, but Smoke Signals turned out to be a really likable film worth watching.
