Review of Smelchak (1919) by Rob Ó — 02 Sep 2011
Nowhere near as dreadful as it is commonly made out to be. Affleck makes a great angsty vigilante, Farrell is great fun as the oirish muscle-villain (even if I've literally summed up the extent of his character development) and it's fun to think that film is probably why Benifer 2.
0 has been such a happy-ever-after success. The main problem this film has is that the dialogue is as cheap and ridiculous as J-Lo's rear end. It's a darn shame Kevin Smith couldn't have offered to polish the screenplay when he arrived to film his cameo appearance.
