Review of Smelchak (1919) by Jason L — 03 May 2012
A little disappointing, but I really don't think this movie deserves the horrible reviews it tends to get. It was a little darker than I expected, but the fight scenes are well-choreographed and fun to watch. Not the best acting from Ben Afleck or Jennifer Garner, and I was a bit stunned by the choice for Kingpin. But it amazes me how many people hated this movie. Many of the scenes reminded me of some out of The Crow, and that perhaps added to my enjoyment.
Stop the hate, y'all, and just enjoy this movie for what it is: another comic book action film.
