Review of Smart People (2008) by Galaxy Quest P — 16 Apr 2012
The film was okay - some good acting, especially from Dennis Quaid. Overall the film was forgettable, but what I liked about it the most was the character progression. Rather than having Quaid and Paige develop into a completely new characters due to their exposure to less precocious pricks, they seem to have a very subtle change - a very real change.
It's not really a comedy - it's humor is subtle, and does not drive the plot nor supply the energy behind the film. The movie is a coming of age character piece.
