Review of Smart People (2008) by Martin V — 30 Dec 2008
Watched this AGES ago, but for some reason didn't put up a review. it's pompous, full of a series of hugley unlikeable characters who all make the wrong decisions, and none of whom exhibit even the slightest whiff off charm.
it takes itself very seriously for what should be a whimsical comedy, and it doesn't really have any bite to it whatsoever. oh, and I remember the ENDLESS folk-guitar rubbish that fills every darn second when nobody's talking.
.. drove me to distraction. anyway, even for quaid fans, I recommend giving it a miss as there's very little to like and nothing at all to love.
