Review of Smart People (2008) by Barry S — 25 May 2013
"Smart People" is a great little movie that teaches you to live life rather than just intellecualize about it. Don't understand the lower ratings at all. When overachieving and totally and completely unpopular ("I have to get a perfect score on my SATs") Ellen Page asks two girls her age "How does it feel to be stupid?" and they reply "It feels like sitting in the cafeteria all alone every day," you know you're onto a great movie.
Someone should have gotten an Oscar or two for their acting. A VERY realistic movie and a very enjoyable one.
