Review of Smallfoot (2018) by Allan C — 20 Jan 2019
Passable animated film is no "Inside Out" or "Zootopia," but it's also nowhere as annoying as the Minion films. The story follows a young Yeti, voiced by Channing Tatum, who believes that Smallfeet (humans) are real and sets out to prove they exist.
Enter obnoxious human filmmaker James Corden who wants to prove that Yetis are real. As you might expect, their lives collide and comedy, music, and dance ensures. Zendaya, Common, LeBron James, Gina Rodriguez, and Danny DeVito also lend their voices to the film.
Overall, it's less annoying than most kids films, manages to be sporadically funny, but is lacking the emotional depths of a "Toy Story 3" or "Monsters Inc.".
