EEEK!!!
At first, because I'm "soooo desensitized," I kind of did an internal eye roll at the opening sequence on the babe on the boat watching her honey get eaten by mysterious things in the water...
...but then! Bleck bleck bleck bleck bleck!
These slugs are AWFUL! I was physically repulsed at least 8 times!
It was fun to actually cover my eyes with my hands because it was done so well.
One slug with teeth is cute, hundreds... vile!!
And the restaurant scene!!!
AND, more than that (!) the slugs were surrounded by the best kind of people, particular people! Like all sheriff's, this town's sheriff has some of the best lines. There also is this truly tragic sub-story of the "good girl" at the high school.
Who knew that health inspectors and sanitation workers could be so heroic!
