Featuring director debut John M. Maclean, set in 1870 Colorado. A mixture of "a European road movie" with "fairy tale" inflections that are "mostly about young love". Slow West is weirdly lyrical portrait of frontier life, this blackly comic oddity balance on the generic knife edge between the western and the musical.
