Review of Sliver (1993) by Paras N — 17 Jan 2008
Sliver is a silly, pathetic film that tries to succeed in numerous areas and ends up only succeeding in sucking major ass. There are two redeeming features, the UB40 song on the soundtrack and the ending.
Yes, I know you think I mean the end credits but I actually liked the "twist" ending. It wasn't a cop out and was the only saving grace. The running time was way too long, the voyeurism angle was poorly handled (what are you trying to say?!) and Tom Berenger must surely look back and understand why he now makes straight to tv movies.
To top it all off, it's just really, really boring.
