Review of Slither (2006) by Carlos F — 06 Sep 2013
Slither is definitely a likable movie, but then again it's also unlikable too. The film is a very creative and funny take on the horror (parody) genre. The cast works but Fillion, Banks and Henry aren't hitting any new territory (though Rooker had some impressive moments).
Really what brings a bad taste in one's mouth after watching Slither is the anti-moral writing. Taking a couple bashes at southern living is fine but this movie keeps dragging out the punches to where it just becomes annoying, like that guy who just won't let a joke die.
Still, worth a watch, but I don't plan to see this again.
