Review of Slither (2006) by Jillian R — 10 Jun 2010
This is a superb modern horror that gives a nod and a wink to the classic horrors of the1980's like The Evil Dead and Re Animator. Just like those movies Slither manages to be scary but not take itself too seriously and has it's Tongue firmly in it's cheek.
The story basicly has alien slugs turning the population of a small American town into zombies. And it's up to the sherrif and a small band of survivors to stop the alien slugs. The cast is great especially Nathan Fillion as the sherrif who I think is grossly underused in Hollywood, he has great screen pressence and charisma and absolutly superb comic timing.
This film should not be missed I highly reccomended it.
