Review of Sling Blade (1996) by Mike C — 27 May 2008
Much better than I anticipated. Billy Bob Thornton plays a completely different role from his usual roles as an obnoxiously arrogant loudmouth. This is by far his best film and it is clear that he poured his heart and soul into it.
John Ritter has a wonderful supporting role that makes you wish he was still around. It's a shame that his genius is unable to shine through new work.
