Review of Sling Blade (1996) by Dave A — 06 Oct 2010
Good character driven drama that became a breakout role for writer/director/actor Billy Bob Thornton as a mentally challenged man released from a mental hospital, where he later befriends a young man, his mother and her abusive beau (a solid Dwight Yoakam).
Very good drama with very good acting, highlighted by Thornton's acting abilities to stay in character.
