Review of Sling Blade (1996) by Lyle G — 01 Dec 2015
The first time I saw this movie was in 2005. For the longest time, the annoying imitations turned me off from seeing the movie, until I just swallowed my annoyance and watched it (with the help of a friend).
I found myself trying to mirror myself with Karl, and trying to relate to how he sees things. Thornton, of course, does so well, that I would succeed in that regard. At the end, I wished I had Karl's heart, and was heartbroken over what he felt he had to do.
