Review of Sleuth (1972) by Nic B — 20 Jun 2012
Overdirected and terribly acted, Kenneth Branagh's minimalist take on a classic play falls well short of the mark set by the original Olivier film. It's clunky, dull and pretentious, without the expected spark you'd expect from a Pinter screenplay.
A disappointment.
