Movie theaters in Waukesha County, Wisconsin refused to show this movie due to its controversy. If you live in that area, consider yourself lucky. I wouldn't be surprised if the director hadn't played the game, since this adaptation has practically zero resemblance! Collecting pages is something that is never shown or spoken of, in favor of stupid teenagers summoning haunted visions from the internet (subtle message).

The jump scares and bad CGI from other garbage horror movies can be found here, plus something else - There is a dream sequence that lasts about five minutes! I couldn't believe that everything I had seen in those five minutes didn't actually happen! The production company is Screen Gems, which after watching this film, sounds like a joke.
