'slender man' is the worst movie I have ever seen. the acting is terrible, the writing is horrible, the directing is embarrassing. Sylvain white should never be allowed near a film production ever again.

slender man is a popular character yet is utilized worse than the bye bye man. great opportunities missed in this unoriginal ripoff of truth or dare and the ring. the cinematography is so ugly and dark, it's hard to see most of the movie, and when you can see it it's ugly to look at.

the camera shots are so lifeless, sometimes you ponder why sylvain white placed the camera where he did. the storyline doesn't make any sense, you don't know how much time has passed in the movie since randomly it's day and night.

the source material is not respected in the slightest as slender man is barely in the movie and is not scary, he is utilized terribly. this movie isn't scary, jumpscares aren't scary, they're a cheap scare, and even those are barely in the movie.

it's so predictable. this movie is however funny and should be seen as a comedy, the scares are so poorly done and unintentionally funny, the audience in my theater were laughing. the script is clearly written by someone who doesn't understand how teenagers talk or act.

the first 20 minutes feel like an hour and is boring and the rest is funny and quick. if you do go see this movie, see it with a friend or something as this would suck to watch alone. This movie is an embarrassment and is one of the unintentionally funniest movies of the summer.
