Stand up comedy has always interested me in one way or another, and this movie does a great job of showing how a small time comedian can find his footing and gain popularity and momentum with time. This movie deals with so much more than that, however.

Mike Birbiglia focuses on his relationship with his long time girlfriend, and how his anxieties over her manifest themselves into terrible episodes of sleepwalking. It's funny and sad, surreal and grounded, and always entertaining.
