I think this is a laugh-out-loud slapstick romp. Woody's sarcasm and ineptitude are hilarious. This time around I was more clued into his love for Charlie Chaplain and the Marx Brothers. The scene in which they start re-enacting Streetcar Named Desire is genius and Diane Keaton's imitation of Brando is fantastic.

(I say HA!) Keaton is so essential to Allen's early work in that she humanizes his cynicism. It's also amazing to consider what a significant shift in style Allen made only three years later when he made Annie Hall.
