Review of Sleeper (2012) by Hannah D — 27 Oct 2012
I started off really liking this and thought it was going to be a four-star, but it tailed off in the second half. I was drawn to it because Woody Allen is in it, and I find Diane Keaton very watchable, as well.
It doesn't surprise me to learn that she was in a real-life relationship with Woody, as their on-screen chemistry is palpable. It was interesting to watch from a 1973 perspective the visions of what life might be like in the future.
I like to think that in 2012 we are more advanced technology-wise than what was envisaged for 2173! They still seemed to be operating giant mainframe computers! And I think we can cope without the instant puddings!
