Review of Sleeper (1973) by Dan G — 19 Nov 2013

I was warned to not be overly critical of Woody Allen's early movies so I can't say that I expected much out of Sleeper. I was pleasantly surprised and bowled over with laughter! The part that got me was in the beginning, after he wakes up from being cryogenically frozen, and begins running into people on the electric wheelchair.

The simplicity and timeliness of the humor in this film is definitely a different feel that later Woody Allen films and, if you ask me, it works just as well.
