OK, in terms of slasher films, this is probably the best I've ever seen. Friday the 13th? Nope! Halloween? Sorry bud! Sleepaway Camp has just the right amount of bad performances to make truly likable and memorable characters, good kill scenes that can range from legitimately creepy to downright ridiculous, and just an overall entertainment value that you can't resist.
I've never seen any other slasher movie leave such an impression. It all leads up to the shocking and genuinely freaky ending. One of my favorite horror movies. 5/5.
