Review of Sleep Dealer (2008) by Sam F — 28 Nov 2009
Does technology keep people apart, or does it bridge distance and borders?
Set in a world of high-tech security, decidedly weak AI, and ubiquitous telepresence, this cyberpunk tale feels like Guil Gómez-Peña meets Phillip K. Dick. A really excellent example of near-future science fiction, very good script and cinematography. Special effects are very low budget, but more than sufficient.
Go see it.
