Review of SLC Punk (1998) by Kyle V — 15 May 2010

Wow what an amzing movie, it blends comedy and stoner comedy with a tragic yet fullfilling tale with just the right amount of drama, comedy and all around awesome. Ive seen this movie again and again, it has inspired me to come up with a movie idea that im currently working on and will complete as my first movie. (I wanna be a Director) Anyway, movies always give me ideas and help think in different ways, but a movie rarely comes along and plants a seed that becomes something I know I can make and makes total sense as my first movie. Though by no means does that mean im just copying from this movie to mine, it just gave me a great idea, usually this has nothing to do with movie but all filmmakers are influenced by other movies, well most at least.

The movie itself is best watch High then sober I find then however you wanna experince after words. Where is this Mattew Lillard, no in the name of the king BS. I am by no means a Punk, nor have I ever been one and nor do I ever have an interest in being one ever, but for me its a movie about growing up after your done High School and what all those fights with your parents were about. So I can really relate to it in my current situation.
