Review of SLC Punk (1998) by Voodoo123 — 12 Jan 2023
Clearly inspired by the style over substance 4th wall breaking 'cool' directing style over substance productions a la tarantino etc, slc p bombarded my senses with non stop dialogue for 125 mins. The production value is high with a talented cast and some interesting scenes props, costumes and makeup.
Matthew lilliards distractingly animated performance took away more than it added to the outing. There are some fun character acting moments spread throughout but it ultimately failed to connect with me on any meaningful level beyond the superficial.
