Review of Slaughterhouse-Five (1972) by Dillon H — 07 Sep 2008
An exceptional adaptation of what is probably one of the best American novels written in the past century. My only complaint is the character of Kilgore Trout is omitted from the narrative and Elliot Rosewater's character is neglected and lightly touched upon.
Still, George Roy Hill makes a great film that conveys the same dark yet humorous Vonnegut philosophy. If Vonnegut was happy with the film (and he was), then I'm happy with it.
