Man, they **** it up. The one point I give it is for Roger Deakins, who delivers some gorgeous cinematography (especially in Shanghai). Otherwise, an unbearable, intellectually lazy and ultimately silly endeavor.
The reverse Pieta ending, in a church no less, sealed the deal: this film is beyond redemption.
