Review of Skyfall (2012) by Justin S — 09 Nov 2015
This film does for James Bond, what "The dark knight" did for batman. It grounded these characters and story in reality. This film presents flawed characters, James Bond being presented with the most flaws surprisingly.
The villian actually has a justified reason for his wrong doings and we finally get to see James Bond's backstory. This is the most I have seen a James Bond film flesh out it's characters and story.
This film is absolutely flawless. Dare I say, I liked this better then "Casino Royale", I thought it would be impossible to top that. On a technical level, there is no bond film that looks as good as this one.
The cinematography is gorgeous and the direction is perfect. The pacing of this film was perfect alongside the editing. This is indeed the best James Bond film(alongside GoldenEye, in my opinion). I also like how they have combined the older style of James Bond with the newer, more hard-edged style.
I definitely recommend seeing Sam Mendes "Skyfall". 10/10!!
