Review of Skyfall (2012) by Kevin C — 23 Oct 2015
Passable Bond film. Grumpy gritty surly snagglepuss returns to face off against a very cartoonish Silva, but it's Javier Bardem so we give him a pass ('lest you forget he won an Oscar for the similarly Joker-inspired Anton Badhaircut in 2007).
Speaking of the Joker, the big twist is a ripoff of one from The Dark Knight and the 3rd act is overlong and too much like a Home Alone movie. Manageable, but holding out hope for Mendes's talents to show themselves in Spectre.
