Review of Skyfall (2012) by Derek F — 16 Nov 2015
Skyfall is a lot of things. It makes use of Craig's darker gritty Bond, as well as introducing some of the classic Bondian elements back to the series. Javier Bardem plays a terrifying villain with a believable vendetta against MI6 and Judi Dench plays a great final performance as M.
The plot is somewhat stylized and holey, but the third act with Bond fighting against Silva in a burning house is iconic. It runs a little long, but there's lots of beautiful scenery and iconography.
