Review of Sky High (2005) by Kylie B — 26 Dec 2008
Just seen this for a second time just 'cos it was on telly. I was pleasantly surprised when I first saw it and nothing has changed two years on. Why this languished in DVD-land I don't know. It is cliched, but deliberately so, and thanks to its very clever tongue being wedged firmly in its cheek, it is more than acceptable.
It is one of the best films of its genre and makes the original Spy Kids look like a side-kick. A guilt pleasure of a film with a healthy selection of cheeses layered within. I'm not embarassed to say I like this.
It is a fine use of 90 minutes.
