Review of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004) by Charles D — 23 Jun 2011

I hate it when movies put effects above storytelling (Avatar is the worst fucking movie ever made) but this movie has charm. Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltrow have chemistry together and the visuals were cool (but obvious and overused).

There's a lot to complain about like the lack of story or characters, but in the end this movie won me over. It's dull at points, but difficult to hate. Overall it's pretty fun.
