Review of Sketches of Frank Gehry (2006) by Adam D — 31 Jul 2007
This movie just shows how great of a businessman Gehry is and how shitty of an architect. His is so bad that he can't even verbalise what is wrong with his buildings but merely allows his coworkers to fumble around crinkling metal sheets until they stumble across something that takes his fancy.
Furthermore it shows how he has no regard for the site and using the environment or sustainability in a world that is on a daily level growing smaller and smaller...wow Titanium siding buildings... His greatist works are those of his earlier career before he ran out of ideas.
Notice how all his buildings look the same now, it is becuase his clients don't want architecture they want him and he has no more ideas of what to do so keeps sellin' rehashed ideas. Anyone who likes Gehry obviously knows nothing of architecture.
