Review of Sixty Six (2006) by Claire H — 19 Jun 2007
A fantastic British film which will tickle the funny bone and pull at the heart strings. Maybe even at the same time! The story focus's on Bernie Reubens who can't wait to get stuck in and plan his Bar Mitzvah (which, he is positive, will be better than his older brothers!).
However, the plans are turned upside down when the World Cup Final lands on the day of his Bar Mitzvah, and, seeing as it's 1966, England manage to get through, much to Bernie's disappointment.
With comic talant from mum Helena Bonham Carter and Catherine Tate, this film is sure to prove enjoyable. A great family film - and it doesn't even matter if you don't like football that much!
