Review of Six Degrees of Separation (1993) by Gregory G — 16 Apr 2010
Talk about a surprise. This isn't exactly a movie that gets a tremendous amount of fanfare, but it's a movie many people have heard of simply because it's Will Smith's first major role in a film.
I was completely enthralled by it. One thing about it struck me about it, aside from the interesting story and the characters within it ... is the way the movie was shot. The fact that this whole movie is pretty much the couple telling a story to their friends about what happened.
Yet, I found myself, when it was all said and done, feeling like one of those friends at the dinner party that just couldn't get enough of it. The editing shifted a lot to keep you engrossed in the story, and I really enjoyed it from start to finish.
