Review of Sita Sings the Blues (2008) by Jen N — 29 Mar 2009
I loved this. The animation was visually stunning. The decision to use 1920s jazz vocals to help narrate an ancient tale, seems like an odd and risky idea at first thought, but it worked beautifully. The parallel versions of the story were equally engaging and well done, each utilizing a different style of animation.
This movie is definitely worth checking out.
