Review of Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit (1993) by Robert B — 24 Jun 2008
In the first one she battles the mob. This time she battles...a music class. Talk about different directions. But she still saves her cast of malecontents through the power of song. A pre-fame Lauryn Hill makes a very believable turn as the gifted lead singer.
But James Coburn should have gone all Magnificant Sever on Whoopi's ass and thrown a knife in her chest if he wanted to get rid of her in the movie. This probably won't win many new converts, but it will keep the faithful from the first one happy.
