Review of Singles (1992) by The Critic ( — 29 May 2013
Dialogue-driven, with characters breaking the fourth wall, Cameron Crowe weaves together a consistently entertaining and engaging piece about a group of twentysomethings looking for love and stability.
Krya Sedgwick and Campbell Scott are extraordinarily likeable, portraying flawed characters that their audience genuinely care about and invest in. Bridget Fonda is in fine form with Matt Dillon stealing the show as her uncommitted boyfriend and failing musician. The film is littered with quirky characters that present the multifaceted aspects of singlehood with a sense of charm and flare.
