Review of Single White Female (1992) by Danielle S — 21 Dec 2008
Hedra Carlson: "You know, identical twins are never really identical. There's always one whose prettier... and the one whose not, does all the work... She used me, then she left me - just like you.".
Software designer Allison Jones kicks out her live-in boyfriend Sam Rawson after finding he has been sleeping with his ex-wife. But she is then stuck with having to find a roommate to keep the rent down. She settles on shy bookstore clerk Hedy Carlson and the two quickly strike up a friendship. But when Sam tries to reconcile with Allison, Hedy becomes unstable, doing everything she can to keep them apart, even resorting to murder to protect her friendship with Allison. Single White Female seems to be like a cross between Pacific Heights and Fatal Attraction.
