âIâ(TM)m singinâ(TM) in the rain, just singinâ(TM) in the rain, what a glorious feeling, Iâ(TM)m happy again.â? Thatâ(TM)s the feeling you get from watching this film. Singinâ(TM) in the Rain is a happy story that displays the film industry, and even love, at its finest. Directed by Stanley Donen and Gene Kelly this musical comedy has a touch of everything. The dancing ranges from tap to ballet, the music from serious to hilarious, and the acting from splendid to legendary. Gene Kelly, an actor, a director, a singer, and a dancer, shows off his talents in this one-of-a-kind masterpiece we call âSinginâ(TM) in the Rain.â?

To be in a musical one must have many talents. One must be able to sing. One must be able to dance. One must be able to act. All those talents added together and more describe one man: Gene Kelly. His acting? Outstanding. His singing? Bravo! His dancing? Unbelievably breathtaking. His directing? Without it the film would not have had the same flair to it that it does now. No other man can compare to Gene Kellyâ(TM)s immense talent. During the famous âSinginâ(TM) in the Rainâ? scene Gene Kelly, as he danced and sang to his heartâ(TM)s content, was running a one-hundred-and-five point temperature. His dedication to film was something that was lost with the new generation of films that came after the bright, shining lights of the Golden Age.

Who else could have been Cosmo? The studio believed that Oscar Levant was the man for the job. Good thing that Oscar Levant never made it on the film because only Donald Oâ(TM)Connor could have immortalized the role of Cosmo like he did. His acting was marvelous in every way, from his solo singing number âMake â~Em Laughâ? to his random snappy lines that always seemed to bring out a chuckle from the audience. Donald Oâ(TM)Connor⦠he can sing, he can dance, and he can make us laugh till we cry.

The musical score in Singinâ(TM) in the Rain was a brilliant swirl of romantic and just plain out funny. Itâ(TM)s no wonder that the music is built perfectly into the plot, because the music was made before the story. The writers built the plot around the music. This created both a brilliant story line and an amazing music score.

Singinâ(TM) in the Rain is a classic. Growing as the ages go by as a fun-filled musical with acting, singing, dancing, and comedy. The mix of romance adds some spice to the story, and the one hour and forty-two minute movie is well worth the time it takes to watch it. This film is a must-see for the generations to come. Itâ(TM)s a passageway back in time, when things were funnier, actors were more talented, and life was just a little bit easier.
