Review of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014) by Quigonjim007 — 22 Aug 2014
It only took nine years to get this sequel made, but Robert Rodriguez mostly succeeds. The film is ultra violent (Pleasingly so) and stylish however, it is not nearly as fresh and exciting as it was nine years ago.
The actors do what they can and notable stand outs include Eva Green, Mickey Rourke, Joseph Gordon Levitt, and Josh Brolin as the recast Dwight. It is a good time spent at the movies and it does not run too long at 102 minutes.
This film is not going to revolutionize film making, but if you like the characters from the original and are interested in what came before or after the events of the first film you won't regret giving this movie a shot this weekend.
