Review of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014) by Chris C — 01 Nov 2014
It's not bad, per-say...but it's definitely a situation of "way too little, WAY too late." So many recasts distracted me through out this whole movie.
But other than that, it's the same old Sin City we knew back in 2005, just with better effects. It's a pretty decent sequel, actually. My favorite segment of this was, surprisingly, the original vignette with Joseph Gordon Levitt, written by (modern) Frank Miller. It felt like it could have just stood out on its own as an original short film, I was that invested.
Everything else was just okay; I just wish the film, as a whole, didn't have to take nearly a decade to make.
