The only sin is that we have to wait for the next installment.

Despite hearing the critics destroying my hopes of any optimistic thoughts going into watching this film I was pleasantly suprised by the turnout of this Noir comic book film. The postive thing about the Sin City universe is that there isn't anything like it out there. Apart from 2008's "The Spirit" but let's forget that even existed. 300 was in the same boat before every director helming a Spartan or Roman or any ancient war film decided to replicate which is one of the many reasons why my previous review of 300: Rise of an Empire gave a bad impression.

Eva Green. What more is there that I can say. She steals the show yet again, whether it is getting undressed for most of the film and parading around in the nude or with her feisty backstabbing dialogue she show's that she is one of the best actors out there who has taken the business by storm with her powerful quirkiness. Joseph Gordon Levitt, Josh Brolin and Mickey Rourke also put some solid performances in which created a powerful film.

Although it doesn't come without its flaws. Nancy's revenge story became tedious and boring but that was my personal opinion. It was however, interesting to see how they dealt with Dwights story of his plastic surgery and development into what he looked like in the first installment. Since having watched it, I have found out that Clive Owen was going to make a cameo but because of his schedule for "The Knick" he was unable to film the scene.

The thing about this sequel that people will hate is that if you aren't a fan of the predecessor then this isn't going to make you a fan. It is pretty much a carbon copy, whether that is a positive or a negative for you as a viewer is up to you to decide but for me I loved seeing the brutality, violence and unique cinematography that I fell in love with.

"Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" is a solid 4 star film that I personally recommend for any fan of action films and comic book films. If you like the Sin City films check out 300 and vise versa.

"You keep asking for it, and asking for it!".
