Review of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014) by Brayan P — 22 Nov 2014
Loved the first movie, but they replaced two of my favorite actors in this movie (Clive Owen (Dwight) and Devon aoki (miho)). Then they spent 30-45 min with Eva Green's character, including an appearance from the terrible acting Christopher meloni. Yawn!
The colors and visual effects are still brilliant and nice to set, but they aren't a surprise the second time around. Not to mention covering up some weak characters/actors.
Just as the movie in need of recessatation they turn to Alba's sexy character (not to mention Rourke's) to bring some life back to the movie.
Still not enough to save it, but makes it almost watchable. Despite, the tone of the film being women using sex with men to get what they want.
